Author/Photographer Rosie McGee’s talk, “The Grateful Dead: Before, During & After the ‘Summer of Love’”, will be illustrated with her intimate photos of the band, taken when she lived, traveled and worked with them during their first decade as a band. Her lecture will be followed by a Q&A session and book signing. She will have copies of her book and selected photo prints available for purchase.

Rosie McGee came of age in San Francisco in the Sixties, immersing herself in the city’s rock music scene as a teenager. She soon fell in with the Grateful Dead; and her memoir, Dancing With the Dead—A Photographic Memoir, chronicles her ten years living, traveling and working with the Dead during their first decade as a band. Her intimate memoir is illustrated with 200 of her photos.
